TWO PILLARS OF COOPERATION

The partnership rests on two pillars: independent material verification of components and training the next generation of specialists for the railway sector.

Material testing and analysis

For our partners and customers we provide independent material verification of railway wagon components, especially forgings, castings and axle-box housings. We use the Department of Material Science laboratories for metallography, microscopy, mechanical testing, surface treatment and tribology. Every job is discussed in advance with the department's specialists so that the analyses deliver exactly the results the customer needs.

Students and practice

Together with the department we prepare bachelor's and master's thesis topics based on real freight wagon components. We provide students with samples, technical documentation and an expert consultant from industry. We also organise visits to production plants, repair shops and test facilities so they get to know the field in real operation, not just in the lab.
